Chicago City Opera (CCO) presents the Chicago premiere of the gothic horror opera Der Vampyr. First performed in 1828, Marschner’s Der Vampyr is a thrilling predecessor to the vampire stories that have become a staple of popular culture - predating Bram Stoker’s Dracula by half a century. With mysterious characters, dramatic twists, and a richly atmospheric score, Der Vampyr captures the romance, suspense, and intrigue of the gothic tradition.
Op*erratic
Chicago Fringe Opera

Borelli's Pizzeria
2124 W Lawrence Ave, Chicago, IL 60625
Op*erratic (presented by Chicago Fringe Opera) is a fully unscripted operatic improv spectacle, where the plot, music, and mayhem are created in real time. Armed with classical voices and a flair for the absurd, our cast transforms audience suggestions into spontaneous stories full of soaring arias, tragic misunderstandings, and unexpected finales.
Welcome to the '26-'27 season, folks - it's looking to be a good one. See you at the opera.
